Lantern Depths
★★★★★ 4.5
Lantern Depths is quiet and strange in the best way. You guide a lone explorer down through a flooded structure, solving environmental puzzles and managing a lantern that keeps the dark at bay. There's almost no text — the game trusts you to read the space.
The puzzles lean on observation rather than trial and error, and I never felt stuck for long. The controls are minimal: tap to move, hold to interact, and that simplicity suits the pace.
It's the sort of game best played with headphones late at night. Easily one of the most memorable things we've reviewed this year.
